This 12 year old Aberfeldy Single Malt was sourced and bottled by independent bottler James Eadie as part of The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland series. The collection features exclusive whiskies and small batch creations bottled at cask strength, without chill-filtering and in natural colour. From 1922 to 1929, James Eadie and his team visited, scrutinised and photographed a total of 124 distilleries, all of which have now been documented in a book by James Eadie's great-great-grandson Rupert Patrick. Using photographs from this book, each whisky was carefully selected for its distillery character and flavour profile and bottled after different years of maturation. The Aberfeldy was allowed to spend its entire maturation period in first fill Bourbon hogsheads, developing fresh, fruity and creamy facets that run through the entire flavour profile. The label of the bottle shows an illustration of an old photograph of the Aberfeldy Distillery from the very early years of the distillery.
