This 11-year-old single malt is part of the Arran Lochranza Distillery's Signature Series. The Barrel Bonfire Whisky is the second of a total of four bottlings, which are always selected in limited editions by Distillery Manager Stewart Bowman. With this bottling, the distillery invites you to learn more about the more heavily peated whiskies from Arran, which mature in ex-bourbon quarter casks from the Koval Distillery in Illinois, allowing the single malt to mature more intensively. Over the years, Lochranza has experimented with different levels of peat content, ranging from 14 ppm to 20 ppm to 42 ppm. Since 2017, Lochranza has no longer distilled peated whisky.

De Distilleerderij:

Die Lochranza Brennerei liegt auf der Insel Arran, nach der sie zunächst benannt war. Im Jahr 2019 eröffnete Lagg, die zweite Brennerei auf der Insel. Daraufhin nannte sich Arran zur besseren Unterscheidung in Lochranza um. Der Single Malt Whisky ist jedoch weiter unter der Marke Arran erhältlich. lees meer

    Erinnert an Machrie Moor, nur viel besser interpretiert.
    Wer Arran mag, hat hier Party auf der Zunge.
