This 12-year-old Glenfarclas Single Malt Whisky is the first in the Highland distillery's new The Trinity Vintage Series. It is matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks that have been resting for a long time in the old Glenfarclas cask cellar and is bottled neither chill-filtered nor coloured. Glenfarclas means valley of the green grassland, which is due to the idyllic location of the traditional distillery. The Trinity Vintage Series combines the precious sherry casks from the Dunnage Warehouse and is a tribute to the traditional distilling skills of Glenfarclas.

De Distilleerderij: Glenfarclas
Die Glenfarclas Brennerei wurde 1836 von Robert Hay gegründet und ist eine der bekanntesten und erfolgreichsten familiengeführten Brennereien in Schottland. Die Eigentümerfamilie Grant ist stolz auf ihren privaten Status, was sich im Brennereislogan „The Spirit of Independence“ (Der Geist der Unabhängigkeit) widerspiegelt. Seit 1865 bestimmt die Familie Grant in der fünften Generation die Geschichte der Glenfarclas Brennerei. Diese lange Familientradition garantiert konstante Qualität und die notwendige Voraussicht für ein langlebiges Produkt wie Whisky. Kaum eine andere Brennerei hat so viele hochwertige und alte Whiskys in ihren Lagerhäusern. Glenfarclas liegt in der schönen Speyside und wird seit 2002 von John Grant geführt.

Geschmack: klassisches Glenfarclas-Profil: bisschen "rauh", dazu aber viele rote Früchte, Pflaumen, Datteln - offenbar aktive Fässer!
