Nikka From the Barrel is a mild blend with fruit, spices and a hint of vanilla. In the meantime, Japan has built up a remarkable malt whisky production that can compete with the Scots in terms of quality. For From the Barrel, 100 different components of malt and Grain whisky are used, which are masterfully combined with each other.

Kommentar: Muss sagen, einer - wenn nicht der Top Whisky in meiner Hausbar. Früher habe ich mehr für die Irländer geschwärmt, mittlerweile muss ich sagen, dass die Japaner noch besser sind. Natürlich, der Geschmack verändert sich auch über die Jahre und daraus resultiert auch eine pers. Geschmacksfindung. Also nix rauchig, für mich eine Grundvoraussetzung für einen Whisky bei dem ich die Noten finden kann (Rauch ist in meinen Augen der Tod der feinen Noten) Ich würde sagen, einfach mal probieren und schauen, ob das was für einen ist. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in meinen Augen fantastisch.
