Tanduay Reserve Rum Sauternes Cask Finish combines the time-honoured rum-making expertise of Tanduay Distillers, Inc. with the elegant influence of French sweet wine casks. As one of the oldest and most renowned rum distilleries in the Philippines, Tanduay has been synonymous for generations with high-quality rums characterised by a smooth, balanced flavour. This special bottling, at 42% vol., was first matured for at least four years in ex-bourbon casks and then given a refined finish in Sauternes casks. The interplay of both cask types lends the rum additional depth, a delicate sweetness and exceptional aromatic complexity. The Bourbon cask imparts classic notes of vanilla and caramel, whilst the finish in the ex-Sauternes wine casks contributes elegant fruit aromas, subtle honey notes and a delicate spiciness.
