Mermaid Spiced Rum

The Mermaid distillery is located on the Isle of Wight in England and mainly produces authentic London Dry Gin. Now the distillery's first spiced rum is also available. Mermaid Spiced Rum is made from a carefully selected blend of sugar cane rum and Trinidad molasses from the Dominican Republic, which are distilled in column stills. The rum is then matured for 2 to 5 years in former Bourbon oak barrels. Both island blends travel from the Caribbean to the shores of the Isle of Wight, where they are infused with local fruits and spices. Included are fresh white cherries and apricots, honey from the island's beehives and black salt. Gently flavoured with local Herba Santa, cassia and vanilla, the result is a spiced rum that can be enjoyed neat or as an ingredient in cocktails. Mermaid is also committed to protecting the environment. That is why production is always environmentally friendly and virtually plastic-free.

Romero & Sons Cuatro Leyendas #3 - El Atrio de Cantuña is part of the four-part single cask series "Cuatro Leyendas" from Ecuador's oldest distillery. For this series, the family-run company draws inspiration from the urban legends of its home country. The 35-year-old bottling combines 50-year-old rum from the distillery founder's hand with distillate from 1990. The final blend has matured since 1990 in Ecuador's capital Quito, 2,850 metres above sea level in the foothills of the Andes. With 237 bottles, this Single Cask Edition is particularly rare and was bottled at cask strength, uncoloured, unsweetened and non-chill-filtered, thus preserving the original character of the rum. Each bottle is a tribute to the legend of Cantuña, the indigenous master builder who made a pact with the devil but cancelled it through a cunning act.

The best-known titles include Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Fear of the Dark and Aces High. This rum makes thematic reference to the poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge, which inspired the band to write one of their cult songs back in 1984. Hampden Rum Great House Distillery Edition 2023/2025

The Hampden HLCF 2023/2025 comes from the legendary Hampden Estate in Trelawny, Jamaica, which has been distilling high-quality rums for almost 300 years. For connoisseurs, Trelawny is a mythical place, while for crocodiles it is a swampy paradise. Distilled from molasses, sugar cane juice, dunder and muck in traditional Pot Still stills, the Pure Single Rum matures in a sherry cask from Bodegas Fundador. Hampden Estate has been using these Andalusian casks to refine various brands and vintages since 2018. The result is the Hampden Light Continental Flavoured, HLCF for short, which stands for a balanced character with a high ester content of 400-600 g/hL of pure alcohol. After two years of maturation in the tropical climate of Trelawny, this single cask bottled exclusively for Kirsch Import expresses the full-bodied intensity of HLCF, complemented by Christmassy notes of preserved cherries, cocoa and roasted walnuts. The Hampden HLCF 2023/2025 is an intense rum with a strong character for connoisseurs and curious connoisseurs.

Jamaica Rum - Elixir Trails The Rum Trail 11 Years 2013/2025

This rum, distilled from the finest molasses from the family estate on Pot Still stills, matured for the first four years on the island in former bourbon barrels. It was then transferred to second-fill rum barrels and shipped to Scotland for a further seven years to allow the Jamaican rum to mature in peace. Instead of the intense flavours of overripe fruit found in well-known "high-ester" rums, this rum takes a more complex approach. The traditional double-retort method continues to contribute to its clear and precise, yet profound flavour, which presents itself with hints of banana bread with orange and spices.

This molasses rum comes from Fiji's first rum distillery and is produced using the column still method from a local sugar cane variety. After maturing for a year in American oak barrels on the island, the rum was aged for ten years in former bourbon barrels in Scotland. After 11 years, the rum was then bottled at 48% vol. in 2025 and impresses with facets of ripe orange peel, honey notes and delicate hints of vanilla on the tongue and palate.

This Barbados rum is produced using column and pot stills in a family-run distillery in the south-east of the Caribbean island, which was previously a sugar factory. After 14 years of tropical maturation, the molasses rum then underwent final continental maturation and its flavour oscillates between herbal and sweet notes. This creation is a classic example of matured Barbados rum. It owes its high level of quality to the incredible attention to detail that goes into its production from start to finish. The careful blending of strong Pot Still rum and elegant Column Still rum before the long barrel ageing and the maturation itself gave the end result herbal and floral notes, gently balanced by butterscotch and maple syrup.

The Belize rum was produced from fermented molasses made from local sugar cane. It was distilled on column stills and matured for three years in South America in heavily burnt, new American oak barrels. It was then refined and aged for a further six years in ex-Bourbon casks in Scotland. The Caribbean rum is packed with intense notes of mango, berries and vanilla custard, which it presents in a balanced and complex way without the addition of sugar or colour and without chill-filtering at 48% vol.

Australia Rum - Elixir Trails The Rum Trail 17 Years 2007/2025

This 17-year-old rum comes from Australia's oldest licensed rum distillery on the Queensland coast. After an initial distillation on column stills, a further distillation follows in a copper pot still. After ten years of maturation in American oak barrels in Australia, it was matured for a further seven years in second-fill bourbon barrels in the UK. The handcrafted production is reflected in the taste. The long fermentation with a specially developed yeast variety enhances the aromas of ripe banana and other fruits, while the subsequent distillation in the Pot Still gives an oily mouthfeel with notes of eucalyptus, mint, blackberry jam and sultanas. In the 21st century, Australia is internationally recognised above all for its wines, having been considered the land of lager at the end of the 20th century. In fact, rum is the drink of choice in colonial Australia due to British naval influence, as the spirit was used as a currency at the end of the 18th century. For most of the 19th century, rum was imported or distilled illegally until the first licence was granted to Beenleigh Artisan Distillers in 1884.

The limited Botucal Single Vintage Rum is a blend of distillates that were all produced in one year. The master blenders chose an innovative approach for this Botucal and three distillates full of character were married before maturing in barrels. 10 years in ex-Bourbon and ex-whiskey barrels gave the vintage rum warming notes of chocolate, cinnamon and rich fruit flavours, which blend together skilfully. Botucal is also known as Ron Diplomatico. Botucal is the name used in Germany for Ron Diplomático, as the original brand name "Diplomático" could not be used in this country due to existing trademark rights. However, nothing has changed in terms of the product itself, its production and its outstanding quality. The name "Botucal" is also derived from the region from which the sugar cane used comes.
