Product description
1770 Glasgow comes from the Scottish city of the same name. The Glasgow Distillery Company was founded in 2014 and is the first single malt distillery in Glasgow since 1902. Following the old tradition, single malt is now once again produced there from Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. The Fresh and Fruity Edition of 1770 Glasgow was matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and then finished in fresh white oak casks.

Kommentar: frisch und fruchtig. Ein bisschen Süße, evtl Honig, gelbe Früchte und Anklänge von (dezenter) Eiche. Ein grundsolider Whisky, den man gerne genießen kann. Allerdings hebt er sich dadurch auch nicht von der breiten Masse ab, austauschbar. Aber das mindert natürlich nicht die Qualität.

Geschmack: Sehr süß und würzig, reifer Apfel, sommerlich malzig, im Hintergrund etwas salzig.

Abgang: Leichte und angenehme Trockenheit, säuerlich fruchtig, den Mundraum auskleidend.

Kommentar: Ein junger Malt mit etwas jugendlicher Schärfe aber mit intensivem Charakter. Interessant!
