The Bellamy's Reserve Rum Martinique Pear Cask Finish comes from the island of Martinique and is produced there in the Saint James Distillery. The rhum agricole is made from 100% fresh sugar cane juice and matures for 4 years in Martinique in former bourbon barrels. The rum is then transferred to Germany where it is given a 1-3 month finish in 225 litre pear wood barrels. The finish gives this Bellamy's a fruity pear flavour.

Kommentar: Im Aroma ist die Rumnote dezent, eher hat man eine Fruchtnote nach einer grünen Conference Birne, dazu eine schöne würzige Note mit viel Holz. Im Geschmack ist die Rumnote auch eher dezent, es dominieren eher die Gewürze, Karamel und Holz. Im Abgang bleibt viel Holz und der Alkohol schiebt in einer Minznote nach. Super lecker auch nicht so süß wie viele anderen gezuckerten Rums. Im Blindtasting würde ich sagen ein Glen Garioch mit Rumfinish.
