This 9-year-old Ben Nevis from the independent bottler Signatory Vintage's The Decanter Collection is presented in an elegant Ibisco decanter. It spent its maturation period in second-fill Oloroso sherry butts before being bottled at a slightly higher drinking strength, uncoloured and non-chill-filtered.

Aroma: Malzig, Sherry, weisser Pfeffer, Trockenfrüchte, Marille, Datteln, Röstaromen, Koriander, Vanille

Geschmack: Malzsüße, Orangenschale, Datteln, brauner Zucker, Eichenwürze, Röstaromen, Magenbrot, Bitterschokolade, cremig

Abgang: Kurz, fruchtig, würzig, Eiche, Walnuss

Kommentar: Gefällt mir besser als der 8-jährige Vorgänger (WID 243738). Auch wenn nur 1 Jahr älter zeigt sich dieser viel harmonischer und ausbalancierter ohne aufdringlicher Alkoholschärfe. Der Sherry ist dezent und hält sich im Hintergrund, ein ehrlicher Ben Nevis
