Product description

This Bushmills was first matured in bourbon and sherry casks and then finished in special bourbon casks. Bushmills Master Blender Helen Mulholland maintains good contacts with the Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky, where the casks were double burnt especially for the Irish distillery to mature an even smoother whiskey. The Single Malt with the special finish was then married with the classic triple-distilled Irish Grain Whiskey to obtain additional dry-spicy aromas.

The Distillery: Bushmills

The Old Bushmills Distillery is probably the oldest licensed Whiskey distillery in the world - its licence dates back to 1608. It was officially founded in 1784 by Hugh Anderson in the Northern Irish town of Bushmills. Since then, Bushmills has been synonymous with traditionally triple-distilled, mild Irish Whiskey. Kommentar: Auch hier finde ich die normalen Bushmills besser. Riecht anfangs sehr stark nach Bourbon, kommt vom Geschmack aber nicht so wirklich an den Geruch heran.
