The 21-year-old Bushmills is one of the flagship bottlings from Ireland’s oldest licensed whisky distillery. Triple-distilled from 100 per cent malted barley, this Single Malt develops its exceptional complexity over more than two decades in a carefully balanced combination of different cask types. The whisky is initially matured in Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, before undergoing a longer period of finishing in Madeira wine casks. This final stage of maturation imparts additional notes of dried fruit, subtle sweetness and elegant oaky spice, whilst retaining its soft and harmonious Bushmills style. Each bottle is individually numbered, emphasising the exclusive character of this 21-year-old expression. The interplay of the three cask types results in a multi-layered Irish Single Malt with balanced depth, a silky texture and a long, elegant finish.
