This 12-year-old Craigellachie from the independent bottler Living Souls was matured in first-fill sherry hogsheads. Living Souls is a new independent bottler from Scotland that has set itself the task of bottling characterful Scottish whiskies in small batches, whilst preserving the distillery’s original character as faithfully as possible. The bottlings are aimed primarily at whisky enthusiasts seeking individual casks and authentic Single Malt Whisky. This lively Craigellachie whisky, at 46% vol., delivers a blend of apple compote, vanilla and caramel, along with subtle pastry notes, straight to the nose and palate. The full-bodied finish vividly yet balancedly reflects the authentic character of this Speyside distillery.

Im Herzen der Speyside in der Nähe der kleinen Stadt Craigellachie/Banffshire liegt die Brennerei, die 1891 auf dem Höhepunkt des Whisky-Booms gegründet wurde und bis heute bestehen blieb.
