When Icelandic immigrants settled at Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba in the 19th century, they were glad to have escaped from the volcanoes of their homeland. They called their settlement 'Gimli', which means 'safe haven from hellfire' in Icelandic. They surely would have never dreamt that a giant Whisky distillery would someday bear this name. read more

    Kommentar: Anders als sein lila Bruder schmeckt der hier so wie ich mir den anderen, der ja der Standard von Crown Royal ist, gedacht habe. Der erinnert deutlich an Ahornsirup, hält da auch ne Weile an um dann kräftig holzig, aber gut, abzugehen. Für den Preis zuwenig, für die Hälfte würde ich ihn empfehlen. Den würde ich aber evtl. wieder kaufen, der hat schon was, taugt auch gut als Bourbon-Ersatz wenn man grade keinen im Haus hat oder etwas ähnliches trinken mag.

    ...hab ich halt ein schwarzes Sackerl auch noch für die Spielesammlung
