Product description
Dalmore King Alexander III honours the Scottish king of the same name. During a hunt in 1263, a member of the Mackenzie family saved the life of the nobleman. In gratitude, Alexander III allowed them to bear the royal stag on their coat of arms. Since then, the distillery's bottlings have also been labelled with the stag's head. This special Single Malt was created from six different types of cask.

Die Dalmore Brennerei wurde im Jahr 1839 gegründet. Die Brennerei wurde lange vom adeligen schottischen Mackenzie-Clan geführt. Ein Mitglied des Clans rettete einst König Alexander III auf Hirschjagd das Leben, indem er einen ihn angreifenden Hirschen in letzter Sekunde erstach. Daraufhin war der König so dankbar, dass er dem Mackenzie-Clan gestattete den königlichen Zwölfender Hirschen auf ihrem Wappen zu tragen. Noch heute ist dieses Symbol auf den Dalmore Flaschen abgebildet. Schon 1874 wurden dort vier Brennblasen verwendet, 1966 wurde dann auf acht aufgestockt. read more
