Aroma Caramelised oranges, ginger and sultanas. A honey note lies over everything.
Taste Dark chocolate and chopped almonds with a little cinnamon.
Finish Medium-length and sweet with mango, panna cotta and lemon cake.

Maturation Ex-bourbon barrels of American white oak, finish in Oloroso/PX sherry barrels of American and European oak.

Product description
The Dalmore Sherry Cask Select was matured in very special sherry casks: In three different cooperages in Andalusia, Spain, casks were made especially for the Highland distillery. The casks made from American and European white oak were then saturated with Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry. The Dalmore malt was matured in these casks for 18-24 months and thus experienced the double sherry influence. The intense and elegant sherry flavour is further enhanced by bottling at 43% vol. The Single Malt is now available in a new design.

Dalmore
Dalmore is a high-quality Highland distillery with a good Whisky and an elegant bottle design. The distillery was long run by the noble Scottish Mackenzie clan. A member of the clan once saved King Alexander III's life while stag hunting by stabbing a deer attacking him at the last second. The king was so grateful that he allowed the Mackenzie clan to bear the royal twelve-tailed stag on their coat of arms. This symbol is still displayed on Dalmore bottles today.     Geschmack: " Prickelde " Sherry- Eiche, würzig, fruchtig und mundfüllend mit etwas Süße im Hintergrund, nussig in Richtung Mandel.
    Oak Sherry Fruit Sweet Almonds
    Abgang: Sehr lang, würzig und trocken.

    Kommentar: Nicht schlecht, wir hatten ihn vor ein paar Jahren schon einmal, ich glaube im Live Tasting, da hat er mir etwas besser gefallen, ich meine er war etwas süßer und süffiger. Aber dennoch lecker, kann man gut genießen.
