Deanston Master Distiller Ian MacMillan relies on his 40 years of experience, regional barley and water from the River Teith. After a 100-hour fermentation, the 18-year-old matured completely in fresh bourbon casks.

Geschmack: sehr weich, süß. Früchte, leicht würzig mit Noten von Vanille, Karamell und Honig Sweet Fruit Vanilla Caramel Honey

Abgang langanhaltend mit Eiche und etwas Orange Oak Honey

Kommentar: Sehr runder stimmiger und milder und Ex-Bourbon-Barrel Single Malt.

Aroma: komplex Vanille, süße Butter, Zitronengebäck, etwas Birne; karamellig-süß-holzig; sehr frisch für 18 Jahre; mehr Zitrus mit der Zeit, Eiche, etwas Milchschokolade, etwas Würze - tendenziell süß, ohne aufdringlich zu sein;

Geschmack: WOW, voll, vielschichtig, süß, Toffee, dann prickelnd, Gewürze, Karamell, Holz, Zitrusfrüchte (Orangen), etwas dunkles Holziges, fast Erdiges, etwas Blumiges - fantastisch zwischen Süße, Würze, Fruchtigkeit und Prickeln changierend

Abgang: griffig; auch hier etwas prickelig Blumiges; dunkles Karamell mit Zitrusanklängen verbleibt, etwas Würze hinterher, relativ lang

Kommentar: boah, ist der gut! Nase verrät noch nicht so viel, bockstark; der Geschmack ist das Highlight
