Don Papa Alon is a limited edition spiced rum from the Philippine island of Negros ("Sugarlandia"). Made from 100% local sugar cane and aromatic molasses, it is flavoured with toasted coconut, jackfruit and warm spices - inspired by the traditional cuisine of the island. The taste is full-bodied and mild with notes of coconut milk, figs, grilled orange peel, ripe banana, peach and vanilla. The dry, spicy finish is reminiscent of chilli and exotic spices. A tribute to the relaxed lifestyle of the Philippine coast. A great rum for surfers and holidaymakers!

The Distillery:
Die Bago Distillery ist die Produktionsstätte des international bekannten Don Papa Rum, eines Premium-Rums von der Insel Negros Occidental, die für ihr hochwertiges Zuckerrohr berühmt ist. Die Marke ist nach dem Volkshelden Papa Isio benannt und gehört seit 2022 zu Diageo.
Gegründet wurde Don Papa 2012 von Stephen Carroll, einem ehemaligen Manager von Rémy Cointreau, der während einer Reise auf Negros das Potenzial der Insel erkannte. In einem Markt, der lange von einfachen Rums geprägt war, etablierte sich Don Papa als moderne Premium-Marke und steht heute für hochwertige Abfüllungen, die sowohl pur als auch in Cocktails überzeugen und international große Anerkennung genießen.

Herstellerbeschreibungon 19.08.2025Aroma: Tropisch-fruchtig und mit Akzenten von gerösteter Kokosnuss, dazu gegrillte Ananas, Papaya, Mango, Litschi, Limette sowie florale Aromen von Jasmin und Vanille.
Geschmack: Vollmundig, cremig und ausgewogen mit Facetten von Kokosmilch, reifen Früchte (Feigen, Banane, Pfirsich und Demerara-Zucker). Eine dezente Chili-Schärfe rundet das tropische Mundgefühl ab.
Abgang: Langanhaltend und sanft mit tropischen Fruchtnoten, Vanille, Ananas und cremiger Kokosnuss.
