Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is a creation of Irish and oriental botanicals. A total of 12 different ingredients are used to create a fruity, spicy and fresh Gin. The exotic representatives in the botanicals include Chinese lime and Chinese gunpowder tea. The latter has nothing to do with black powder, but is a tea that tastes of smoky peppermint. The main ingredients are distilled in a pot still and Chinese lime, grapefruit, kaffir lime and the gunpowder tea find their way into the infusion basket, which is located between the still and the condenser. The Shed distillery was founded by PJ Rigney and produces small batches in Drumshanbo in County Leitrim, far away from mass production. Quality comes before quantity here. Now with glass in attractive gift packaging.
