Product description
The 12-year-old Edradour Burgundy Casks spent its entire maturation period in first-fill hogsheads, which were previously filled with Burgundy. Burgundy is an umbrella term for wines made from related Pinot grape varieties that were brought to Germany from the French region of Burgundy. Andrew Symington used eight of these French casks to create this Edradour Single Malt Whisky as a limited small batch, which was neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

Aroma: Süße, rote Beeren, leichte Nussigkeit.

Kommentar: Edradour mag ich sehr gern und so schlägt auch der Burgundy Casks in meine Kerbe.
In der Nase hat er eine schöne Honigsüße mit roten Beeren (Trauben, Erdbeeren) und einer leichten Nussigkeit.
Am Gaumen bleibt wieder die Süße. Dazu kommt Schokolade und eine feine Würze und leicht röstige Aromen (Richtung dunkle Schokolade)
Im Abgang trocken nussig-würzig. Sehr schöner Edradour! 4,5*

Kommentar: intesive Nase, rote, dunkle Früchte, leichte Eichenwürze,im Geschmack kräftig, würziger Antritt, 'fruchtige Schärfe', leicht schokoladig.
Im Abgang bleibt angenehme Würzigkeit, Fassaromen entfalten sich noch einmal, dazu Schokolade
Wie schon die Barbaresco-Reifung von Edradour hat der Geschmack nicht das, was die Nase verspricht. Trotzdem vielschichtig, der braucht Zeit.
