Product description
This Edradour whisky matured for 12 years exclusively in Sauternes casks. The first-fill casks were pre-filled with the French sweet wine Sauternes and give the single malt a fine sweetness and notes of citrus fruits. The small batch is neither chill-filtered nor coloured and bottled at 48.2% vol.

Kommentar: Durchgängige Sauternes-Reifungen sind selten - Finishing in Sauternes-Fässern findet man eher. Ich jedenfalls mag dieses Aroma sehr.

Kommentar: im Aroma angenehme Zitrusaromen, Trauben der Sauternes, im Geschmack würzig mit deutliche Weinnoten, dazu Äpfel und Rosinen, im Abgang Würze, Eiche, Süße bleibt. Toller Whisky!

Kommentar: Süß und fruchtig mit Zitrusnoten und etwas Eiche. Die 48,2% sind in der Nase spürbar, im Geschmack aber gut eingebunden. Kann man nicht viel aussetzen.
