This Elijah Craig has been matured in two casks. It was produced in honour of Elijah Craig's innovative spirit. Once fully matured, the Straight Bourbon is aged in a second, specially toasted barrel, adding an extra layer of sweet oak complexity. The Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel is bottled as a small batch Bourbon at 47%.

Die Heaven Hill Destillerie in Kentucky, besitzt eine große Besonderheit: Sie ist die größte unabhängige, familiengeführte Destillerie im ganzen Land. Dabei sind zwei Namen mit Heaven Hill verbunden: Shapira und Beam. Shapira ist der Name der Besitzer - und alle Master Destiller waren Mitglieder der Beam-Familie. Analysten behaupten außerdem, dass Heaven Hill 2015 der siebtgrößte Whisky Anbieter der USA war. In der Brennerei wird jedoch nicht nur Whiskey produziert. Auch wenn sie als Bourbon-Hersteller gegründet wurde, wurde das Sortiment in den letzten zwei Jahrhunderten enorm erweitert (Malt Whiskey, Gin, Wodka, Likör, Rum).
