Flor de Caña Eco Rum

Flor de Caña Rum comes from Nicaragua and is the only rum brand in the world that can call itself 'slow aged'. With this certification, the US government agency ensures that it is a natural and not accelerated maturation process in oak barrels. The rum is produced directly at the San Antonio sugar factory at the foot of an active volcano, which belongs to the "Compañía Licorera de Nicaragua" founded in 1890. With the Flor de Caña Terra Rum, the distillery is making a statement in terms of environmental protection. The rum is produced with 100% renewable energy, 50,000 trees have been planted annually since 2005 and the material for the outer packaging, the label and the bottle come from recycled materials. Articles have even been published in Forbes, National Geographic and The Spirits Business magazines in recognition of the distillery's commitment.
