Aroma Citrus fruits with accents of oranges and ripe peaches. Notes of mild vanilla round off the flavour.
Taste Mild attack with sweet hints of vanilla and honey that slowly unfold on the palate. Complex with floral fruitiness of oranges, renewed notes of peach embedded in the initial sweetness.
Finish Medium length with orange and peach notes.

Product description
The predecessor to this Glenmorangie bottling is one of the best-selling Single Malts in Scotland. The original successor will be no less popular due to its 2-year longer maturation period and is now available with 12 years of maturation instead of the original 10 years. The cask composition has also changed slightly and now consists of first fill Bourbon casks and special designer casks made from air-dried American oak from the Ozark Mountains in the USA.

    Aroma: Florales mildes Zitrusaroma (Orange), mit Gewürzen (Nelken, Anis), Vanille im Hintergrund

    Geschmack: Leicht aber nicht wässrig, Zitruspottburri, dezentes Holz im Hintergrund.

    Abgang: Kurz aber harmonisch

    Kommentar: Ich kenne den 10 jährigen Vorgänger nicht, aber dieser Glenmorangie gehört sicher zu den besten Standards unter 30 Euro. Augrund der Milde sicher ein idealer Einsteiger, aber dennoch komplex genug, um nicht als zu simpel durchzufallen. Ich finde ihn sehr gut gemacht und als Whisky mal zwischendurch wirklich ideal. Keine Fehlaromen und dabei durchaus komplex, gibt es einiges zu entdecken. Derf Einsteiger-Standard zeigt mal wieder , das Glenmorangie die beste unter den Großen ist.
