The Halley's Comet single malt was matured for 12 years in a first fill Oloroso sherry hogshead and was spotted in an undisclosed whisky galaxy in the Scottish Highlands. Scotch Universe GmbH is a small, young, internationally active company based in Germany. The independent bottler of the Whisky Druid has set itself the task of tracking down and hand-selecting special single malts and grain whiskies. Scotch Universe, The Whisky Druid and The Old Friends were made famous by Michel Reick, a true great in the whisky industry. The bottling is named after Comet Halley and has long been one of the best-known comets. It is extremely bright and only returns every 75.3 years.
