Product description
This powerful and harmonious cognac is made from over 100 eaux-de-vie that have been matured for up to 30 years. Eaux-de-vie is the French term for spirits distilled from fruit or grape marc. Cognac is based on a combination of various white wine-based eaux-de-vie, which are aged for different lengths of time (at least 10 years) in various wooden barrels. Hennessy X.O is an elegant cognac that combines spicy flavours and floral, fruity notes.

The Distillery:

The Maison Hennessy Cognac distillery was founded in 1765 by Richard Hennessy and is today one of the best-known houses for Cognac. In 1806, Jean Fillioux was appointed as the first Hennessy Master Blender, and since then the Fillioux family has overseen the ageing and blending process for the 8th generation. The iconic Hennessy logo, the “Bras Armé”, was introduced in 1856 and shows a fist holding an axe - a symbol that refers to the family coat of arms of Richard Hennessy.     Aroma: Backpflaumen und -feigen, dazu Noten von Schokolade und schwarzem Pfeffer. Anklänge von Zimt,Gewürznelken und Kardamom folgen und machen das Aroma milder, ehe kandierte Früchte, Eiche, Gewürze und Nuancen von altem Leder folgen.

    Geschmack: Ausgewogen mit Facetten von Backobst und Schokolade, elegant und robust mit kraftvollen Pfeffernoten und Eiche.

    Abgang: Lieblich und langanhaltend mit samtig-süßen Zimt- und Vanillenoten.
