Aroma Powerful and sherry-accentuated with wine notes and a complex variety of flavours. Spicy cloves and campfire smoke are added.
Taste Rich sweetness of plums and liquorice, with a hint of subtle smoke from the legendary Orkney heather peat.
Finish Spicy and full-bodied with lingering notes of dark dried fruit and smoked oak.

Product description
Highland Park Cask Strength Release No. 5 is the fifth batch of cask strength bottlings from the Orkney distillery. European oak casks (first fill) with a sherry pre-fill are used for the aromatic flavour, complemented by Pedro Ximénez sherry casks with their deliciously intense notes of sun-dried fruit. This is followed by refill casks, bourbon casks and American oak casks (first fill) with sherry pre-fill, which provide smoothness, a slight sweetness and balance. The extensive cask composition was selected by hand by Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion. The cask strength whisky was bottled undiluted and without chill-filtering at an intense 64.7% vol.

    Aroma: Kraftvoll und sherrybetont mit Weinnoten und komplexer Aromenvielfalt. Würzige Nelken und Lagerfeuerrauch kommen hinzu.

    Geschmack: Reichhaltige Süße von Pflaumen und Lakritz, mit einem Hauch von subtilem Rauch aus dem legendären Orkney-Heidetorf.

    Abgang: Würzig und vollmundig mit anhaltenden Noten von dunklen Trockenfrüchten und geräucherter Eiche.
