Product description
The 2013 and 2014 vintages were used for the 14th edition of Kilchoman 100% Islay Whisky. The single malt is produced 100% on Islay and matured for at least nine years in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. This combination gives the Islay whisky vanilla, butterscotch and rich fruit flavours with a slightly smoky undertone.

After more than 125 years, the Kilchoman farm distillery is the first new distillery to be built on the island of Islay. At the distillery, which was founded in 2005 and produces a 100 per cent Islay Single Malt, all production steps are carried out on site, from the cultivation of the barley to the filling of the bottles. read more

Kommentar: WOW ... die Reise beginnt bei einer sehr interessante Nase - für die man sich schon mal Zeit nehmen sollte ... geschmacklich zuerst scheinbar straight forward wandelt er das ganz schnell in eine Vielfalt, die man erst mal ergründen muss, bevor der Abgang nochmal alles rumdreht :) ... WOW !!!
