This bottling of Lagavulin belongs to the Distillers Edition of the Classic Malts of Scotland. The Single Malt was matured twice for at least three months in Pedro Ximenez Seasoned American Oak Casks. The powerful, dry and maritime character of the Lagavulin is complemented here by rich, sweet flavours.

The Scottish Malt Whisky distillery Lagavulin is located on the south side of the island of Islay, between the Laphroaig and Ardbeg distilleries. Lagavulin, pronounced Lagga-voulin, comes from Gaelic and roughly means “hollow by the mill”. Founded in 1816 by John Johnston, the Lagavulin distillery is owned by the Diageo group and its whiskies are part of its Classic Malts Selection. read more

Super Lagavulin Whisky. Ich persönlich finde ihn durch die süße Note des PX Cask als etwas besser als den Standart Lagavulin 16. Die paar Euros mehr ist er mMn wert????

Typischer Lagavulin Geschmack. Leider nicht mehr so gut wie noch vor einigen Jahren (Mit Angabe der Jahre/Reifung). Für mein Empfinden vor dem Hintergrund, auch wenn ein super Whisky, etwas zu teuer.
