Product description
The Langatun Cigar Malt comes from the distillery of the same name in Switzerland. The name is the Celtic term for Langenthal, the location of the distillery. With water from a pristine spring and selected raw materials, Langatun continues the distillery tradition founded by Jakob Baumberger in 1857. Langatun's pride is not mass-produced goods, but unique distillates made by hand in the Pot Still process. The Cigar Malt was specially designed to be enjoyed with a cigar. Maturation in Chardonnay and Fino Sherry casks results in a harmonious Single Malt, which at a powerful 45.6% vol. has enough strength and aroma to stand up to medium to strong cigars.

With excellent water from a pristine spring and selected raw materials, Langatun continues the distilling tradition founded by Jakob Baumberger in 1857. The Whisky distillery was founded in 2005, half a decade after the legal situation in Switzerland changed: only since 1999 it has been allowed to distil spirits from basic foodstuffs such as potatoes or grain. read more
