Product description
Langatun Old Crow is a smoky, peaty whisky. The stilted malt of this single malt whisky is specially smoked with peat. This means that during the malting process, the barley is dried with smoke from burnt peat, which absorbs the smoke flavour and gives the finished whisky its wonderful smokiness. Langatun Old Crow is one of the first whiskies in Switzerland - indeed one of the first whiskies in mainland Europe - to be produced using this process and is matured in red wine casks.

With excellent water from a pristine spring and selected raw materials, Langatun continues the distilling tradition founded by Jakob Baumberger in 1857. The Whisky distillery was founded in 2005, half a decade after the legal situation in Switzerland changed: only since 1999 it has been allowed to distil spirits from basic foodstuffs such as potatoes or grain. read more

Aroma: Süsser Rauch und feine Tabaknoten harmonieren ausgewogen und miteinander.

Geschmack: Rauchig mit süßlichen Anklängen von Akzenten von salzigem Karamellbonbon, dazu eine feine Rotweinnote.

Abgang: Wärmend, mit süßlichem Torfrauch und Tabak, dann schokoladig mit etwas Erdnussbutter.
