Product description
The Dark Brair from Lochlea's standard range is powerful and opulent. It matured in a combination of sherry and port casks and was inspired by the Fallow Edition from the independent farm distillery's seasonal releases. The whisky, made from 100% barley from the distillery's own harvest, was bottled after maturation at 46% vol. without chill-filtering and in its natural colour. The Dark Briar Single Malt presents its flavour profile with hints of juicy red fruits, some ginger cake and accents of baking spices.

Die Lochlea Distillery ist eine unabhängige Farm-Destillerie in den schottischen Lowlands, die seit 2018 Single Malt Scotch Whisky herstellt. Auf dem weitläufigen Farmgelände in Ayrshire wird die Gerste für die eigene Whiskyproduktion selbst angebaut, wodurch eine lückenlose Rückverfolgbarkeit der Rohstoffe gewährleistet ist. Die Brennerei verbindet landwirtschaftliche Tradition, nachhaltige Produktionsmethoden und moderne Destillationskunst. Gleichzeitig ist Lochlea eng mit der Geschichte des schottischen Nationaldichters Robert Burns verbunden, der im 18. Jahrhundert einige Jahre auf der Farm verbrachte. read more
