Variety Single malt whisky
Aroma Sweet, with fruity sweetness and vanilla. Apricot and mango harmonise with vanilla pudding. Sweet citrus fruit and a hint of pine resin with liquorice.
Taste Fresh with pronounced citrus and herbal notes, then fruity vanilla notes before slightly bitter tea and nut tones are added.
Finish Crisp and medium-bodied with a mild tea character. Nutty undertones complement the pronounced herbal flavours. Tropical fruit towards the end.
Maturation Ex-bourbon barrels, finish in ex-bourbon barrels infused with Japanese green tea

Product description
Mackmyra The Kaizen 02 - Shinobi is a whisky creation from the experimental distillery in Sweden. The whisky was matured for around 10 years in ex-bourbon casks in the distillery's Bodâs mine, which were infused with exclusive Japanese tea. Shinobi tea is created by adding melting ice cubes to Gyokuro tea. The green tea from Japan becomes milder in sweetness and complexity but remains intense in flavour. Mackmyra The Kaizen 02 Single Malt is bottled as a small batch and is a successful experiment with the sweet accents of the tea.
