After the usual ageing period of around six years, the Maker's Mark Cellar Aged was stored in the Maker's Mark cellars for a further five years. This is where the Cellar Aged developed its deep, rich and complex character.

The Distillery: Maker's Mark
Makers Mark is on the rise and needs to increase its production capacity. But they don't want to change anything to the production process. So they just multiply their existing production equipment. They already did this around the turn of the millennium with the second still and more fermenters. In 2015 they install a third similar still and even more fermenters of the same kind.

Geschmack: Voll(kommen), knackig und sehr würzig: Karamell-Kuchen mit Vanillesauße. Darüber gestreut: Smarties, Krokant, Mandelsplitter, Zimt, usw.
Abgang: Lang und intensiv. Von allen Etwas: Pudding (wieder Vanille/Karamell), Zimt-Küchlein, Marmeladen, Fruchtkompots, leichte Mokkanoten, und viel aufgeladene Eichenfracht am Ende.
Kommentar: Bester Maker's Mark ever! Das Alter, die Maische, der Reifeprozess, uncut abgefüllt, der Geschmack, die Preis/Leistung ist der Wahnsinn, das Flaschendesign, alles Top-Qualität. Ganz oben im Bourbon-Olymp bewegt sich dieser Whisky.
