Product description
Meikle Tòir (pronounced "Mee-kuhl Tor") translates as "Great Mission" which Billy Walker and the team at Glenallachie are pursuing with these heavy and smoky Single Malts. The Speyside region from which the whiskies originate is not necessarily known for smoky Single Malts, but this series aims to change that to some extent. The malt for these special bottlings is kilned over mainland peat from St Fergus, which provides sweet smoky notes with oak flavours. The Sherry One is matured for 5 years in First Fill Bourbon Barrels, Pedro Ximénez & Oloroso Sherry Puncheons and is bottled with a PPM content of 35 PPM, no chill filtering and no artificial colouring.

Die GlenAllachie Distillery, gelegen in der berühmten Speyside, zählt zwar zu den jüngeren Brennereien Schottlands, doch seit der Übernahme 2017 durch Billy Walker und sein Team hat sie sich schnell einen Namen für hochwertige Single Malt Whiskys gemacht. Der Name GlenAllachie stammt aus dem Gälischen und bedeutet „Tal der Steine“, was die tiefe Verbundenheit zur Region unterstreicht. Neben klassischen Abfüllungen produziert die Brennerei seit 2018 auch die getorfte Variante Meikle Tòir, die für Fans rauchiger Speyside-Whiskys eine besondere Entdeckung ist. read more
