Product description
The Macallan Double Cask matured entirely in sherry casks. American oak casks were filled with sherry especially for Macallan and then used for the maturation of the whisky. In addition to the American oak casks, classic sherry casks made from European oak were also used.
For a long time, Double Cask was only available in Asia. The whisky has since been added to the Macallan range. Practical 0.05 litre tasting size!

    Kommentar: Wenn es nur nach dem Geruch gehen würde, hätte dieser Whisky volle 5 Sterne.
    Der Geschmack kann die, von der Nase gesetzte sehr hohe Erwartung dann leider nicht mehr ganz erfüllen.
    Aber trotzdem nicht schlecht.

    Aroma: Würziger Sherry Einfluss, leichte aber nicht unangenehme Schwefel Note. Letzteres schafft eine interessante herzhafte Nuance.

    Geschmack: Sehr mild, süß und angenehm. Salzkaramell

    Abgang: Crème Brûlée, sanfte Eiche mit etwas Säuerlichkeit.

    Kommentar: Schade, dass die 43% diesem Tropfen, das Mundgefühl rauben. Dennoch: Dies ist ein guter harmonischer Whisky zum Start eine Line-ups. Nicht geeignet, wenn zuvor etwas charakterstärkeres im Glas war.
