The Isle of Raasay Distillery is the first legal producer of whisky on the Isle of Raasay. The Unpeated Chinkapin Oak is part of the island distillery's Na Sia single cask series. The series is released seasonally every two years: unpeated whiskies in the first half of the year and peated whiskies in the second half of the year. For these single cask bottlings, the American oak casks are freshly charred and toasted, giving the single malt a rich colour and a strong aroma characterised by sweet toffee and ginger.
The casks of this single malt are all filled by hand at natural cask strength.
