Product description
Reservoir Distillery, based in Richmond, Virginia, is a producer of handcrafted whiskeys made in small batches from single mash bills. This means that 100% of a single grain is used for each of the whiskeys in the core range. The Wheat Bourbon is the smoothest of the single grain bottlings and is described by the distillery as an ideal starter bourbon. It matured entirely in a fresh quarter cask, which was previously charred out in a 55-second distillation process. Because the interior of the cask after burning out resembles the armoured skin of an alligator, the casks flamed out with Burning Grade No 4. are also called 'Alligator Char'. Each bottle is numbered by hand, signed by the master distillers and covered with wax.

Nice! Amerikaner der Extraklasse. Süße, Weizen, Nüsse, Frucht in Süße und ganz leichter Säure, Malz, leicht geröstete Butter ohne Bitterkeit, Beeren finde ich nicht. Klasse! Neben dem Texas Single Malt von Balcones einer meiner Favoriten aus den USA. Tip: Der Rye von Reservoir ist auch lecker!
