Product description
The name Rock Island embodies the proximity to the Scottish islands of Jura, Arran, Orkney and Islay and thus perfectly captures the rough coastal climate in terms of name and content. For the 10-year-old, Single Malts from the four islands are blended together and bottled without dye or chill filtering. In 2019, the name was changed: Rock Oyster became Rock Island.
The video contains the tasting of the bottle with the old name.

Kommentar: Der Rock Island ohne Altersangabe ist um Längen besser als der 10-jährige, viel maritimer. Der 10er hat tatsächlich eine leicht buttrige Nase, Säure und Süße zugleich, am Gaumen und im Abgang auch mit etwas Lakritz. Ich bleibe beim maritimen NAS!

Abgang: ein leicht bitterer und etwas holziger Nachklang ohne komplexere Aromen, dann bleibt viele Minuten ein leichter, aber deutkiher Nachgeschmack, den ich nicht so echt mag irgendwie leicht wie geräuchertes Leder...
Kommentar: Habe es ohne vorheriges Lesen von Bewertungen im Edeka gekauft. Ich werde aus diesem Whisky nicht schlau, der Blend ist für mich nicht stimmig/harmonisch.Er verwendet nach Eigenaussage Whiskies von Orkney, Arran, Jura, Islay. Ich erkenne keinen davon im Blend so recht wieder , und auch kein stimmiges Gesamtergebnis...
