Product description
With the Roe & Co brand, the Diageo spirits group once again has an Irish whiskey in its range. Master blender Caroline Martine combined Malt and Grain whiskeys that were matured in bourbon barrels. The high proportion of first fill casks characterises the whiskey with sweet vanilla notes. George Roe set the standard for Irish whiskey in the 19th century.

The Distillery:

Die Roe & Co Brennerei wurde 2019 gegründet und liegt in den Dubliner Liberties. Das Viertel war früher eher von Armut und Kriminalität geprägt, mittlerweile befinden sich dort aber auch sehr viele Brennereien und Brauereien. Den Blend Roe & Co gab es bereits vor der Gründung der Single Malt Brennerei. Seit 2017 wurde er aus einer handverlesenen Kombination irischer Malt und Grain Whiskeys hergestellt. Nun hat man sich vorgenommen, den Single Malt Anteil des Blends in Zukunft selbst zu produzieren. read more
