Product description

For the Royal Brackla 2nd Fill Islay Sherry Cask Finish, different casks were used for the maturation. For the first nine years, the Single Malt was matured in an ex-Bourbon hogshead. The cask in which the whisky was subsequently matured has its very own history: Originally, it was used to store Oloroso Sherry Whisky for over twenty years. After that, it was filled with a smoky Islay whisky for five years before this Royal Brackla was matured in it for just under three years.

Aroma: Aromen von Apfelstrudel, Vanille, Dörrpflaumen, frische Aprikosen treffen mit leichten Sherrynoten, Kirschkompott und gebrannten Mandeln auf Panettone.

Geschmack: Intensiv und süsslich, treten sehr fruchtige Anklänge von Zwetschgen, Vanille, Toast an den Gaumen, ehe dezenter Torf übernimmt.

Abgang: Sherry, Holz, leichtbittere und würzige Noten mit gebrannten Mandeln und verbleibender Süße.
