Product description

Safe Haven is a mystery malt from the stocks of independent bottler Murray McDavid. The name of the distillery is not disclosed, but it can be revealed that Safe Haven is the translation of the name and that the distillery was built in 1798 off the west coast of Scotland. The mysterious malt matured for 9 years in quarter casks from the Koval distillery in Chicago, which were previously filled with rye whisky. The highly smoky whisky was then bottled at 51.1% vol. at cask strength, without chill-filtering and without the addition of colouring.
