Aroma Fresh pineapple, mango ice cream, sweetness of crème brûlée with honey, plus accents of cinnamon and citrus peel.
Taste Stewed apples and warming spices combine with notes of vanilla pudding before banana, milk chocolate and toasted oak are added.
Finish Balanced, fruity and pleasantly spicy.

Product description
Founded in 1885, the Orkney distillery Scapa was closed for many years. In 2004, the whisky distillery was renovated at a cost of several million pounds and malt whisky has been continuously produced there again since 2005. The Signature Series consists of three bottlings that shine in a modern and fresh design with a maritime colour scheme. The bottles are also more reminiscent of decanters than typically shaped bottles. The 10-year-old Scapa has been matured in American white oak casks and reflects the untamed beauty of the Scottish coast in terms of flavour.

    Kommentar: Durchaus interessanter Whisky mit einer angenehmen Balance zwischen fruchtig/süß und würzig. Es fehlt ihm m.E. ein wenig der Charakter - das Besondere. Für den Preis macht er aber eine gute Figur.

    Geschmack: Dosenpfirsich, Banane, exotische Früchte, sehr süß, schwer, würzig und maritim, ziemlich holzlastig dazu, hat seine Ecken und Kanten! Peach Spices Nuts Oak Maritime Notes Banana Tropical Fruit

    Abgang: Holz, süß, trocken, leicht bitter

    Kommentar: Sie haben mMn definitiv auch mit Virgin Oak gespielt, was den Whisky sehr robust und interessant macht. Ein extrem leckerer, maritimer Malt, der für unter 50 Euro ein Muss ist!
