Slyrs Fifty One is a composition of several barrels. In addition to the classic white oak casks, various wine finishes were also used. Before bottling, the malt was diluted to 51% vol. The alcohol strength also gave the Single Malt its name.

The Distillery: Slyrs
Located at the Schliersee lake, Slyrs Distillery ranks among the best-known whisky distilleries in Germany. Its name is derived from the old name of the region. The first Whisky was already distilled on the stills of the traditional Lantenhammer distillery in 1999, but in 2007 Slyrs Whisky found its home in the newly erected Slyrs Distillery in Neuhaus.

Kommentar: Mittellanger Abgang, insgesamt OK. Es gibt intensivere Whiskies mit ca. 50% zu einem ähnlichen oder niedrigeren Preis z.B. von Arran oder Glendronach.

Mega!!!!! Aber mit Vorsicht, mit Sicherheit nicht
jedermanns Geschmack. Macht aber immer wieder Freude ihn zu trinken. Das Video von Ben beschreibt es sehr gut - komplex, verwirrend, immer wieder entdeckt man neues, Abgang trocken und süß und Gewürze.
