Product description
The 12-year-old Smögen Single Malt from Sweden was made from heavily peated smoked malt from the distillery's own Estate Barley variety, which gives it malty, earthy undertones and smoky facets. The whisky was matured in first fill Bourbon barrels and first fill sherry hogsheads and bottled at natural cask strength without chill-filtering.

The Distillery: Smögen
The Swedish distillery Smögen is named after a picture-book fishing village on the Skagerrak, the part of the North Sea between Denmark, Sweden and Norway. The distillery was founded by the lawyer Pär Caldenby, who is also a Whisky enthusiast and author. At the small distillery, he and his team produce heavily peated Single Malt Whiskies from Bourbon and Sherry casks.
