Product description
This 16-year-old Tamnavulin Single Malt was finished in an Oloroso sherry cask and joins the Chairman's Stock series from the oldest independent bottler Cadenhead's in Scotland. In this series, only special casks from the private cask collection of former chairman Hedley G Wright are found and presented. Since 1972, Cadenhead's has belonged to J & A Mitchell & Co Ltd, who own the world-famous Springbank distillery and also breathed new life into the Glengyle distillery. The rare, hand-picked casks are matured and bottled 100% in Campbeltown. Cadenhead's has set itself the task of not only preserving the authentic distillery character, but also emphasising it accordingly. Single Malt Whisky of the highest quality, always bottled in natural colour and without chill-filtration, in this case for a German importer.

The Distillery: Tamnavulin
Tamnavulin is one of the younger Scottish distilleries and only built in 1966. It was founded to produce a great quantity of Whisky for Blends and this is still its main job. There are only a few Single Malts released as official bottlings from Tamnavulin, the “mill on the hill”, but the Speyside distillery on the banks of the river Livet is worth to have a closer look on it.
