Product description
Tamnavulin Sauvignon Blanc is post-matured in former Sauvignon Blanc white wine barrels after maturing in American oak barrels.
Tamnavulin was built in 1966 in the rural village of Tomnavoulin, Scotland. Almost three decades later, it was closed again. After extensive renovation, the reopening was celebrated in 2007.

Tamnavulin
Tamnavulin is one of the younger Scottish distilleries and only built in 1966. It was founded to produce a great quantity of Whisky for Blends and this is still its main job. There are only a few Single Malts released as official bottlings from Tamnavulin, the “mill on the hill”, but the Speyside distillery on the banks of the river Livet is worth to have a closer look on it. read more

Aroma: Sehr deutlicher grüner Apfel, Vanille

Geschmack: auch hier Apfel, Vanille, etwas angenehm herb "weißweinig"

Abgang: Wärmend, angenehm, nicht zu intensiv

Kommentar: Insgesamt ein sehr harmonischer Malt mit der deutlichen Apfel und Weißwein-Note. Hervorragendes P/L Verhältnis. Kann mit wesentlich teureren mithalten mMn, daher die sehr gute BVanilla Zitrus Green Apple Dried Fruit ewertung.

Aroma: Intensiv; frisch-fruchtige Weißweinnoten, hinterlegt mit einer süßen Schwere.
Geschmack: Ölig-süß, mit einer feinen Fruchtsäure.
Abgang: Nicht sonderlich anhaltend, aber angenehm süß-säuerlich bleibend, und in keiner Weise bitter.
Kommentar:
Markantes Aroma, und frisch-süffig im Geschmack.
Eine Weißwein-Reifung die mich echt überzeugt; und dies zu einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.
