Product description
Teerenpeli is based in the Finnish town of Lahti and was originally founded as a brewery and wine press house. It has also been distilling whisky since 2002. Finnish barley is used in the production process and distilled twice in Forsyth's Pot Still in the Scottish style. This 15-year-old bottling is the oldest in the distillery's history, matured 65% in Bourbon and 35% in first fill sherry casks and was bottled to celebrate the Teerenpeeli Group's 30th anniversary. The 0.5 litre bottles contain an intense 54.9% vol. and are neither chill-filtered nor coloured.

Aroma: Er beginnt mit einer frischen Note eines grünen Apfels, und danach beginnt man das Alter zu spüren und der Apfel wird eher zum Bratapfel; dann auch eine wunderbare Vanillenote in der Nase.
Geschmack: Am Anfang ist der hohe Alkoholgehalt kaum zu spüren, es ist nur eine schöne, sanfte Malzigkeit auf der Zunge, wieder der Bratapfel und etwas Caramel; im zweiten Schluck dann setzt eine massive Eichenwürze ein und überklingt alles andere.
Abgang: Erst gegen den Schluss macht sich der Alkohol bemerkbar; zusammen mit der Eichenwürze schlägt er im Abgang so richtig zu.
Kommentar: Hochwertiger Whisky, der international absolut mit den Standard-Whisky-Ländern mithalten kann.
