Aroma Aromas of sweet syrup and dried figs mixed with malt bread, sultanas and baking spices.
Taste Layers of fruitcake and banana bread, followed by dates filled with marzipan, toasted walnuts and sultanas with a hint of cloves and cinnamon.
Finish Notes of Danish pastry, cocoa powder and biscuit fade to a warming oak and tobacco note.

Product description
For the Tomintoul Small Batch Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask Finish, selected Tomintoul whiskies matured in ex-bourbon casks were blended together and then given a finish in handpicked Spanish Pedro Ximènez sherry casks from Andalusia.
The Tomintoul distillery is located in the famous Livet River valley. Tomintoul has special energy-saving heat exchangers. After cooling the alcohol vapours, the captured heat is returned to the mash.

Aroma: Fruchtig (Feigen und Orange), Sirup, Nüße, Mandeln und ein wenig geschmolzener Zucker.

Geschmack: Weich, süß und sherryfruchtig: Rosinenbrötchen, Butterkeckse, Apfelkuchen und ein Hauch Muskat.

Abgang: Kurz bis mittel: Leichte dunkle Früchte am Ende mit ein bisschen Schokolademousse.

Kommentar: Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Von der Small Batch Cask Finish-Reihe war aber der mit dem Tawny Port-Finish am Besten! Dieser hier ist dann doch "nur" Mittelmaß!
