Aroma: sehr jung, alkoholische Note, Kakao und etwas Vanille. Riecht fast schon nach New Make.

Geschmack: Weich, ölig, wässrig. Kakaonote vordergründig, etwas Vanille und Karamell. Hinten raus helle Zitrusfrüchte.

Abgang: kurz, wenig Eiche.

Kommentar: Sehr enttäuschend. Irgendwas stimmt bei Auchentoshan in der letzten Zeit nicht, denn auch der Three Wood ist furchtbar schlecht geworden. Der American Oak war früher mal ein Malt mit starkem PLV und dank first fill Ex-Bourbon only dennoch ausdrucksstark. Der aktuelle riecht wie ein Obstler bzw. eben wie ein Rohbrand. Dafür wären selbst 10€ noch zu viel
