The Single Malt Whisky a'bunadh (Gaelic: The Original) has no age statement. It is not chill-filtered and is bottled in batches at natural cask strength. The name Alba refers to Quercus Alba, the type of American white oak from which the ex-Bourbon casks were made and in which this whisky was matured exclusively. The 9th batch is bottled directly from the cask at 59.3% vol. and is not chill-filtered or coloured.

Geschmack: Nach Zugabe von etwas Wasser total fruchtig, Pfirsch, Mango, etc.
Abgang: sehr, sehr lang!!!
Kommentar: ein ganz toller Whisky, nicht typisch Aberlour, aber sehr zu empfehlen!

Geschmack: Zitrusartig mit Aromen von Bratäpfeln und einem Hauch von Mandeln.
